Located at the top of Model Overview screen is the Social Accounts Tab button. Social Accounts allows for the tracking of non-Industrial interactions, such as tax collection and inter-institutional transfers.
In the Social Account modal window, there are four sections:
Social Account Reports
The Social Account Reports consists of five tabs:
- Commodity Summary
- Commodity Trade
- Institution Local Commodity Demand
- Household Local Commodity Demand
- Government Local Commodity Demand
Commodity Summary
The Commodity Summary tab provides Commodity information for the value of industry and Institutional production, supply, and demand. It also provides information for Average RPC and RSC.
Commodity Trade
The Commodity Trade tab displays the value of each Commodities production going to exports and the amount of each Commodity that is imported into the Study Area
Institution Local Commodity Demand
The Institution Local Commodity Demand tab displays local commodity consumption for locally produced goods by Households, Governments, Capital, Inventory, and Exports.
Household Local Commodity Demand
The Household Local Commodity Demand tab breaks the information in the Households column of the Institution Local Commodity Demand window down into 9 income-based household types ranging from LT$10K to $150K +.
Government Local Commodity Demand
The Government Local Commodity Demand tab provides a breakdown of government consumption of commodities for 3 Federal government types (NonDefense, Defense, and Investment) and 3 State & Local government types (NonEducation, Education, and Investment).
Balance Sheets
Balance Sheets consist of two tabs:
Industry Balance Sheet
The Industry Balance Sheet provides a detailed look into a selected Industry's Commodity Production, Commodity Demand and Value Added.
Once Industry Balance Sheet is selected, choose an IMPLAN Industry to view:
Commodity Production
The Commodity Production tab shows all Commodities that the selected Industry produces.
Commodity Demand
The Commodity Demand tab displays all of the Commodities (Intermediate Expenditures) that are required to produce the Output of the selected Industry.
Value Added
The Value Added tab displays a grid that shows how the four (4) components of Value Added (Employee Compensation, Proprietor Income, Other Property Type Income, and Tax on Production and Imports) breakdown for the selected Industry/Sector.
Commodity Balance Sheet
The Commodity Balance Sheet provides a detailed look into a selected Commodity's Industry-Institutional Production, Industry Demand and Institutional Demand.
Once Commodity Balance Sheet is selected, choose an IMPLAN Commodity to view
Industry-Institutional Production
The Industry-Institutional Production tab shows a high level overview of the Industry and Institution that produce the selected Commodity (specificed in the drop-down menu).
Industry Demand
The Industry Demand tab breaks down all of the Industries/Sectors that demand or use the selected Commodity in their production.
Institutional Demand
The Institutional Demand tab breaks down all Institutions that demand the selected commodity.
IxC Social Accounting Matrix
The IxC Social Accounting Matrix can be viewed by Aggregate SAM and Detail SAM.
Aggregate SAM
The Aggregate SAM tab provides an overview of the entire Social Accounting Matrix on an Industry x Commodity basis. The rows and columns displayed are aggregated.
Detail SAM
In the Detail SAM tab, columns remain aggregated, while the rows displayed are presented with Industry, Commodity, Value Added and Institutions divided by relevant transaction types. Numeric and verbal descriptions of transactions are also included.
IxC Input Output Accounts
IxC Input Output Accounts provides an expanded view of the Commodity, Industry, and Institutional purchases and production shown in the SAM.
