Different output impact in results vs reports
Hi again,
When I view the analysis results, the Direct Impact (and Total) for Output are quite a bit different than when I view the impacts through the Reports button ($2,950,481,587 vs $2,307,704,833 direct output when viewed using the reports button).
I compared the sectors between the 2 different reports. There are about 20 sectors that have differences in the direct column between $2 and $50. The biggest difference, however, is that when viewing the results after running the analysis, 25001:Foreign Trade, $23,984,430 (direct output and total) and 28001: Domestic Trade, $618,792,300 (direct and total) are included. When viewing the ouptput impact report, these two are not included at all.
So, why are 25001 and 28001 included in one output report and not the other? Which is the correct one to use?
Thanks

The trade really is not usually included in the impact. It was added to the viewer because we got so many questions as to why the direct would not match the event when there was direct leakage. It did not make it to the printed report. The trade will go away for version 3. It is correct to exclude the trade. -

Just a follow-up to my previous question: I looked over the output impact numbers we've used for the past 5 years. During those years we've had 3 different years of Implan data (MT '03, MT '06 and MT '07. I noticed that the domestic and foreign trade is included in the output impact reports when using some of those data years, but not others. Why is that? Does it have to do with the structural matrices? Just curious. You did mention that they will not be included in the results or reports in the next version. So, when that is released, I won't have to worry about being confused on that point anymore... Kara -
