Thanks, one more question. do you have a plan to issue more complete manual for V-3 like V-2 hardcopy manual, more detail in database?

There will be an electronic version of the manual. The current "manual" is the knowledge base under "help" in the software. When the changes slow down we will create a PDF version.

Now I want to get CGE format files, so I run V-2 with 2008 Nebraska state data. It successfully read data and built a bacis model, but when I tried to aggregate a model with custom scheme (I believe the scheme is no problem in previous experiments), it just stuck with the following error sign "Too few parameters : expected 2//Code : 3061" Could you help me? Note : I already put 2 files( 08NAT440.ims and Library20.ima) into implan folder to run.

If you downloaded and put the library20.ima file into the IMPLAN directory, that nixes the obvious solution. Zip up the offending iap file and send it to me at info@implan.com so I can look at it.

Hi, Doug I want to get CGE formats file for 2009 Nebraska state data. Last year, I asked same question to you and got some solution that I used Version 2 model with 2008 Nebraska data, and you told me that CGE format files with V-3 model is on to do list. So, could I use V-3 model to get CGE format files for 2009 Nebraska state data or should I use V-2 model? Either case, could you explain how to get a CGE format file? Thanks a lot

To get the CGE format files from within the V3 software, open your model and then: For the IxC file, go to Explore>Social Accounts>IxC Social Accounting Matrix, then choose Export>Industry Detail SAM Files (CSV Only), then choose the GAMS Single File or GAMS 26 File. For the IxI file, go to Explore>Industry Accounts>IxI Social Accounting Matrix, then choose Export>To GAMS File.

Thanks a lot. Using V-3 for CGE file is great news for me since I need to update CGE files every year I will try to do it.

It works well. I got CGE format files, thanks. However, one bit problem is that, in 26 txt files the columns are not seperated well, so it have difficulty to convert them into an excel format file. Thanks

The data is tab delimited, so it should have no trouble importing using the Excel import wizard.

Thanks for concern. For me, I work done with other small program. but for your review, I submit one of txt file in which column is not seperated well by tab. Thanks. P.S. this file come from 09 Nebraska state data with a custom aggregation scheme

The file was not attached. Which table was it?

The reason I cannot upload is extention is 'dat' so I change dat to txt.

I had no trouble importing as tab delimited.

Really? In my case, it is still seperated by 2 columns, not 4 columns, that actually have 4 columns, and I use excel2007. Thanks

Oh, I see, the first period should be tab (3 columns total?). The fixed width works for this one. Were there any others with this problem?

Yes, it has 3 meaningful columns. ( in previous version, column seperated by 4 including 'period' so such as 3001 / . / 24 / 23.35344 ) When I extract CGE format files, all 26 files have same problem. Thanks

I will let Scott know, it should be an easy fix and be in a future update. Thanks for pointing it out.

Yes, it should not be a big deal to fix, and my job will be easier for next year updating  Thanks for concern.

Actually, the periods between the data elements is how it was designed. The GAMS code uses the period as a delimiter. The data in those CGE format files are also available in another SAM report. You can find those in the same area as the CGE files, but use the Industry Detail, Aggregated Rows.
