Thank you for your question and for pointing out this issue to us. We did discover a problem in the estimation of OPI numbers (and consequently Value Added and Output, which include OPI) for certain sectors in certain areas, 156 in Iowa among them. The problem involved units conversion. An interim fix for the study area data would be to customize study area data in those sectors using national average OPI per worker ratios (Value-Added and Output would need to be reduced accordingly), but keep the local ratios for intermediate expenditures, PI, and EC per worker the same. Substantially affected sectors in Iowa include: 156, 157, 159, 160, 433, and 434. We will send you updated Iowa data within two weeks. We apologize for the inconvenience.
