In-Commuter Spending Assumption
Using the Labor Income activity, does IMPLAN assume that in-commuters spend some of their income within the study area but a lower percentage than residents spend, or does IMPLAN assume that in-commuters spend nothing within the study area as a result of the income increase?

Hi Laurel, Thank you for your post. IMPLAN does have a way for calculating that in-commuters will spend some of their labor income in the region. However most of that Labor Income will be leaked out of the Model. Since you are asking about in-commuters, have you thought about expanding your study region? I recommend an MRIO analysis: https://implan.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=832&Itemid=1605. MRIO allows you to demonstrate how an impact in your Study Area disperses into other regions and allows you to see how these effects in surrounding area create additional local effects. Thanks!
