Installing IMPLAN on new computer
I've had Implan installed on my current computer for almost 2 years, but the lease is up, and my employer's IT department is about to replace my computer with a new one. I'd like to get some pointers or guidance on how to make sure that installing Implan on my new computer proceeds smoothly.
Thanks,

Good Morning Jeff. Thank you for your post! We have since updated the IMPLAN software from when you originally placed it onto your computer. The latest version no longer uses the Appliance as it is now appliance free. I recommend installing IMPLAN on your new computer from this link. Once installed please register (Help menu > Register Manually) and you can then download any of your data through the software (Help menu > Download Data Order). Your models from the appliance can be migrated to the appropriate pathway on your computer so that the Software can read your existing Models. If this is something you would be interested in, I can provide for you that pathway. Thanks! -
Hi Drew. Thank you for your post! Any Models built with the Appliance Version of the Software can be moved over to the Appliance Free Version of the Software. The Models from the Appliance can be moved into the following pathway: Computer > Libraries > Documents > MIG > IMPLAN > Models. However, to edit those Models, you will need to have the Study Region data that they were built with. You can download the data through the Help menu > Download Data Order. Thanks!
