Hi John! Thank you for your forum post. You are certainly on the right track. One of the differences for Output/Worker is the Sector change that began starting in the 2013 data release. I have included the link for the release notes to further explain the additional changes to our methodology: http://support.implan.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=399#2013-r1-release-notes

Im not sure that answers the question that we have. Poultry processing is a manufacturing sector and should be be impacted by the Census of Agriculture. It seems as if there was a huge jump in output/employee in 2011 and 2012. The data are: 2010: $234,608 2011: $369,835 2012: $434,613 2013: $255,905 2014: $290,435 We have seen something similar to this when BEA screwed up data and then made an adjustment. Did something like that happen here? We need to track down a reason for the huge 2011-2012 figures in comparison to the data trend. Thank you for any guidance you can provide.

Hello John, It does appear as though we overestimated this sector's output in 2011 and 2012. A more appropriate output value for both years is provided below: 2011: $52,940,845,299 2012: $56,022,500,000 We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and the delayed response. Regards, IMPLAN Staff
