Not yet. Keep posted - I will research on Monday to see the latest BLS occupation matrices look like and then come up with an estimate on how long it will take to redo.

Any word on when an updated occupational matrix would be ready for purchase to reflect the new IMPLAN codes?

I am working on it now, with any kind of luck the matrices (based on 2006 BLS data) will be ready for both 509 and 440 sector IMPLAN by tomorrow (Nov 7) afternoon.

Is the new occupational matrix data available now? If yes, I'd like to buy it.

Richard, the occupational matrices have been released. If you haven't already received them give Ambrose a call.

Doug: I got them from Ambrose over the weekend. Thank you. But now I have another question. The occuupational matrices I received no longer have the built in query tool to cut and paste in employment change and query to get detailed occupational information. My access programming skills are terrible (I spent a few hours on this over the weekend and couldn't do it). Can you make or do you plan on making the same query tools you used to include. If no can we hire you to prepare them? I sent Ambrose a similar request over the weekend. None of the programmers I work with know Access well. They can do this in SAS - but I need a simple access based tool. Richard

There should have been a spreadsheet delivered with the matrices that have the occupational matrices coefficients as well.

All of the data is there but per the Readme file IMPLAN440_L4_Detail: is level 4 (445 occupations). This data is not in the Excel file IMPLAN440_L5_Detail: is level 5 (753 occupations). Also not in the Excel file, this is the most detailed data available from the BLS. I am looking for a way to analyze IMPLAN results by industry into detailed occupations (I guess this is L-5). The old matrices had query tools to analyze results at the detailed occupational level. This is what I am looking for.

Frankly, I had forgotten that I had created the impact queries for the occupational database. I've revised the distribution to include them. Ambrose will send them to you when he gets in later this morning. Thanks for reminding me about them.
