Identifying appropriate IMPLAN sectors
I am building a model for the construction of a mixed-use development to include a hotel, retail, restaurant, office/flex space and residential units. In an effort to depict as accurate a projection as possible, I'm splitting up the activities based on the type of use. For example, costs to construct residential units will be applied to Sector 37: Construction of new residential permanent site single-and multi-family structures. However, I'm uncertain as to whether I should apply costs to construct the hotel, restaurant and the office/flex space to IMPLAN Sector 34: "Construction of new nonresidential commercial and health care structures", or Sector 36: "Construction of other new nonresidential structures".
Can you please clarify?
Many thanks!

You will probably want to use Sector 34, which includes the construction of: All other commercial buildings Amusement, social, & rec buildings Commercial warehouses Educational buildings Farm buildings, nonresidential Health care & institutional buildings Hotels & motels Office buildings Other building construction Public safety buildings Religious buildings Sector 36 includes the construction of things like ships, dams, water treatment plants, etc.
