    You will need to have the appliance plugged in every time you use the software. The software is designed to only search for the files it needs on the appliance, and will not be able to recognize these if you move these files locally. We provide the hard drive as a convenient storage unit, because each year's data set takes up several gigs of hard drive space, and models are also quite large. In addition to this, the hard drive allows you to keep all your models and data in one convenient location, allowing users who are doing modeling on both their home and work, or work and travel system the ability to have all their models and data with them at all times. Like a driver's license, the appliance is registered to a single-name individual, if you have additional user's who would need access to the data and software, please contact us at sales@implan.com or by phone 651.439.4421 in regards to additional user licensing.

    I'm getting a new desktop computer, what do I have to do to get IMPLAN V3 to run on the new system? Currently, I run IMPLAN V3 on a laptop computer.
