Hello Rebecca 1. IMPLAN V3 (IMPLAN Pro) does have MRIO capability. If you have the data, we suggest conducting an MRIO analysis in which you link your Direct Effect region to the Rest of State (ROS). This allows you to maintain the regional specificity of your Direct Effect region while capturing the economic activity between the Direct Effect region and the ROS. You can find more about MRIO at the link below. Getting Started with MRIO http://support.implan.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=367 2. This is entirely your choice. If you prefer to see the impact combined, then your example is fine. If you do plan to compare results, do make sure to set your Dollar Year for View to the same year in each set of results. This way you are comparing like dollars. 3. NAICS codes are a great starting point if you are comfortable assuming that the loan money was/is spent on industry operations. You can find our NAICS to IMPLAN 536 sector at the link below. http://support.implan.com/index.php?view=document&alias=92-naics-2017-to-implan-536-bridge&category_slug=536&layout=default&option=com_docman&Itemid=1764 4. If you are not sure of the equipment purchase but you know the purchase was made at a local wholesale or specific retailer, then you can use a wholesale or retail sector. Be sure to select Gross Retail Sales so that only the wholesaler/retailer margin of the sale is applied to the margins. The links below discuss the process in greater detail. Hi! Thanks for the response--and just discovered the little thank you button today! A couple follow up questions: -thank you for pointing out how to run MRIO on Implan 3. I have tried it several times and the program shuts down before the analysis can be completed each time. I'll get in touch with support, but any suggestions for that? -Also, and I'm afraid this is rather elementary but I just want to be sure I'm thinking about this correctly, additional growth in revenue that can be attributed to the loans cannot be captured in implan unless we know how those new revenue dollars are spent correct? Thanks again!

Hi Rebecca! I apologize for the delay in our response. You are correct in that to model the additional growth in revenue, you will need to know how that revenue is being spent (which industry, how much, what region). I apologize for the inconvenience with IMPLAN shutting down. Please do call into our Support line for assistance.
